Ware Academy Visits the Terracotta Army

Ware Academy’s Upper School students traveled to Richmond to visit the Terracotta Army: Legacy of the First Emperor of China exhibit at the Virginia Museum of fine Arts. Ancient China and the first emperor are an area of study at Ware Academy incorporating language, history, math, science and the arts bringing to life one of the world’s oldest civilizations. Students are tasked with understand the importance of studying and respecting ancient cultures as they relate to our world today. This experiential learning activity allowed Ware Upper School students to not only view this specific exhibit but also the other galleries at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts that correlate with the school’s curriculum.
