Ware Academy Fund
Every child deserves to grow, explore and develop to his/her potential. For sixty years, Ware Academy has provided children in Gloucester and the surrounding counties with an independent school education reinforced by small class sizes and individual attention. Ware Academy prepares its students for the challenges of secondary school and beyond. Each student is empowered to achieve academic excellence, with an emphasis on the development of mind, body and character. The primary objectives are to educate the whole child to his or her fullest potential and for students to acquire a respect and a desire for learning in order to develop into independent, lifelong learners in preparation for productive and fulfilled lives, perpetuating the Ware legacy.

Gifts of cash
Personal check is the most popular way to make a gift to the Ware Academy Fund. Simply include your check with the Ware Academy Fund remittance envelope and return it to the school. We are unable to accept gifts via credit card at this time.
Gifts of Securities
You can transfer securities to the Ware Academy Fund. The Academy sells your securities and credits the value to the Ware Academy Fund. The gift is available for immediate use by the school. The charitable deduction is determined by the fair market value on the date of the transfer of the asset to the Ware Academy Fund. An acknowledgement will be sent to you describing your gift as well as the receipt date and value for your tax records. Ware Academy’s policy is to sell all securities upon receipt.

Matching Gifts
There are many companies which match their employees’ gifts. For example, if a donor gives $5,000 to the Ware Academy Fund, a matching gift company will also give $5,000 to Ware, and thus the donor is recognized with a $10,000 gift. The tax deduction is acknowledged for both the donor and the matching gift company.
