Off to a Great Start!

The First Annual Bobby Stewart 5K Walk/Run held on Saturday, April 12th raised over $12,000. The proceeds will benefit the Gloucester-Mathews Free Clinic and the Ware Academy Scholarship Fund. There were over 200 runners in attendance and 16 supportive sponsors. The Mathews Family YMCA provided a fantastic "fun run," face-painting, relay games, and healthy snacks for the kids. All of the volunteers wore ties in memory of Dr. Stewart, who held an undying love for professionalism at all times...

Ware Academy sincerely thanks the Gloucester-Mathews Free Clinic for this partnership opportunity honoring Dr. Stewart's spirit of giving. We also thank all of the volunteers and participants, Bobby's family, and the Mathews Family YMCA. Not only was it a successful event, but a warm and endearing morning spent with the community and friends.
