Ware Academy is extremely proud to award the Pickett Scholarship to

Emily Brown.

The Pickett Scholarship covers fifty percent of one year of tuition and is awarded to the individual who most demonstrates the embodiment of Ware Academy academically, athletically, socially and characteristically as well as displaying community orientation. The Pickett Scholarship is not based on financial need.

The scholarship is awarded to the student who best meets the following criteria:

• The recipient must currently be enrolled in the sixth or seventh grade.
• He or she must have earned a minimum grade point average of 3.7 and exhibit conduct conducive to the environment of Ware Academy.
• The student must be an active member of at least one athletic team and demonstrate loyalty to school organizations and activities with involvement in at least two extra curricular activities. 

The selected student will be an enthusiastic member of the Ware community and demonstrate school spirit. He or she will serve as a role model for his or her fellow students. As a respected member of the student body, the recipient will uphold the expected standards of conduct. Teacher recommendation is mandatory for nomination in addition to meeting the aforementioned criteria.
