Ware Academy believes in the importance of contributing to the community. Ware Academy education instills in its students a sense of responsibility not only for themselves, but also for those around them. By providing leadership and character building activities, as well as athletics competition, Ware Academy ensures that each student receives instruction and modeling toward becoming a responsible citizen.
Below is a list of some of our community service projects:
- Visiting and reading to the residents of the Gloucester Convalescent Center.
- Baked biscuits and collected bags of dog and cat food, toys and towels for The Humane Society.
- Fundraising for the Newpoint Comfort Lighthouse
- Donations to the Gloucester Laurel Shelter
- Thanksgiving food drives for less fortunate families in all 3 surrounding counties.
- Raised $15,550.00 for the Katrina relief efforts
- Collected 200 uniforms for the misplaced school children of Baton Rouge
- Red Cross blood drive.
