Multi-Aged Pre-Kindergarten Program

Pre-Kindergarten Three- and Four-Year-Old Schedule for 2010-2011

The Ware Academy pre-kindergarten program includes both three- and four-year-old children utilizing a multi-aged setting for three- and four-year-olds. Students learn from developmentally and age appropriate curricula. Children with differing levels of aptitude are taught in groups according to their own ages and/or individual needs and in a structured learning environment which incorporates the opportunity for cooperative learning experiences.

The philosophy of Ware Academy’s pre-kindergarten program is to provide each child with a positive first-time school experience and to provide him or her with the necessary tools to become successful in school and life. Consideration is given to each child’s emotional, intellectual, moral, physical and social development with regards to the skills taught throughout the program.     

Pre-kindergarten provides a transition from the family-centered life of the young child to that of becoming a responsible and caring citizen in a larger community. Learning opportunities are comprehensive and enriching, allowing students to make connections between daily lessons and their individual world. The learning environment is nurturing, allowing each child to interpret concepts creatively and individually.
